One year older!

That's right, I had a birthday.
And it was awesome.
Since Gary was on Spring Break we decided to treat ourselves and go to Omaha
and visit some friends of ours.
Dave, Erinn, and Ren were great hosts!
We really appreciated them letting us come chill and party with them.
Erinn was too nice and went all out making cinnamon rolls, buying me a pepsi, and hanging up a Birthday banner.
I was getting spoiled right from the beginning!
I really wanted to do something fun with Austin but the weather had other ideas.
We packed up and went to this Welcoming Center that had tons of things for little kids to do but unfortunately since school was closed that day so was the center.
So we headed to Chick-fil-la for lunch and Austin got a balloon.
He was in Heaven and I was happy he was happy.
(Birthdays sure do change when you are a Mom)
We went home for naps and a few hours later during that time we got a knock on the door.
It was Pizza Hut!
My amazing brother, Nate, ordered pizza for all of us!
He is such a stud!
Later that night we picked up Dave from work and traveled to the West side of Omaha to go to the Cheesecake Factory.
It did not disappoint.
Followed by going to the mall to let Austin run around crazy!
Traveled back to Erinn and Dave's and watched some basketball and hit the sack.
My birthday day was exactly what I needed!
Thanks to the Meyers, Nate, and Gary for making it so special!

PS: Gary gave me Photoshop elements 11? Anyone nowhere to even begin?
I am excited to learn but I already wanted to pull my hair out last night trying!!!

Tuesday Tidbits

:Austin:
1. his last one year old molar has popped through!
2. he will sit and watch ELMO youtube clips all day if we let him, it has been so nice to have something he will sit and watch while I try to get some cleaning done without Mr. Disaster behind me!
3. total boy- watched the snow plows one morning and thought it was so cool!
4. to get out of the house and to avoid the cold we went to Costco one night and played hide and go-seek. Yes we are desperate around here! We also went to the mall 3 times to play and swimming.
5. his favorite spot for hide and go-seek is in the blinds! He thinks he is so sneaky!

6. I bought some plastic Easter eggs at the dollar store and it was the best $1 investment! He loves to dump them all out and put them back into the bucket.
7. I told you he loves to mix!

Tuesday Tidbits

:Austin:
1. did I mention this boy loves outside? I am pretty sure we are going to be quite the Indians this summer. As of now we are white ghost, enjoying a lot of white snow.

2. Loves to mix...like pretending he is mixing a bowl of brownies like Mom.
3. Cooking with him is getting a little scary. He loves to be involved and that usually results in him sitting on the counter or standing on a chair(of course with supervision...kinda...remember I am trying to cook!). He will not under any circumstance allow me to cook while at my feet, he goes biz-ark!
4. Hates the Y. I have to hand him over to some sweet lady kicking and screaming and then I pick him up with tears still streaming down his face and all blotchy. I feel extremely guilty about it but I know that the break is good for both of us, right?
5. Took him swimming and you would have thought I was the greatest mother ever with the grin he had glued to his face. I am going to try and go weekly until summer...and then everyday!!!
6. I already mentioned this but I have a picture of it!
I can't get down on all fours unless I want a rider!
7. "OH NO"
