Tuesday Tidbits

1. "Oh, crap!" "Darn it!" "You stinker pants" are all new sayings and so is "stupid" but I am trying to erase that word from your memory.
2. When Dad is home you are on cloud nine! You ask all day long when Dad will be home.
3. You love your Dad because he always buys you stuff and you also love him because he can give you more one on one attention but buying stuff for you is #1.
For example: he bought you a bike and a Ninja Turtle helmet (you wear it all day long)
4. He also pulled out the Wii from the garage....
I told Dad the Wii will not stick around if I run into problems and Dad agreed. We already had one morning tantrum about it....ugh, I hate video games.
5.Your friend, Elle Rae, moves next week and you kinda get it but kinda don't. When we talk about it you tell us that we are going to move to the Arch...
 6. I was having a bad day and I couldn't hold it anymore so I broke down. You immediately told me I couldn't cry because that's what babies do (I wonder where you learned that saying) and then you started crying. It was sweet to see that you do have a tender, caring side

1. Overall you have been a happier baby but this past weekend you started refusing to nurse on your ear infection side so I am worried that it never went away. We will find out on Tuesday.
2. You have a bald spot that is a perfect circle on your head but we think that it is from rubbing.
3. I started giving you rice cereal this week because you seem extra hungry right before bed.
4. You want to sit up more and more.
5. You also officially rolled over but have not repeated it. Back to tummy.
6. You love sucking on your hands. You prefer your fingers over the binky.
I am trying to learn my camera and I am sad this is really blurry but it doesn't change his smile

He doesn't like to cuddle anymore while falling asleep so this was a precious moment.

Tuesday Tidbits

1. Joy School and Preschool ended this past week and we are both "so, so, so sad".
2. We are working on learning the months because you need some help understanding the concept of time.
3. You got an invitation to a friend's birthday party and you haven't stopped asking when it is.
4. When you are bored you always say "I'm hungry" and raid the kitchen. (usually I am nursing and I can't stop you)
5.  Your chain to Grandma Kaye's house is slowly wasting away. The novelty of it has warn off so now I have to remind you to do it.

Miss Rachel and Miss Julie

1. Last Monday you were a different baby, you weren't happy all the time and you weren't eating well but I didn't think much of it(we all have bad days and you don't sleep well anyway). However, on Tuesday when we were at the park with a friend I was expressing my concerns and exhaustion and she was like, "I bet he has an ear infection". Biggest sign: you were hysterical if I tried to feed you on my right side but took the other side with no problem. I got you in that day and my biggest nightmare of reliving Austin's first year of life came back. You have a raging ear infection and the doctor basically told me to plan for tubes and this was probably genetic since you shouldn't have an ear infection this time of year. (we will be only having 2 kids)
2. This past week you have been so sad. The antibiotic is kicking your GI system, you are up every hour of the night wanting to be held and you want to nurse just for comfort because once the milk starts coming you stop. You've had a low grade fever, your cough is dry, you sound like your congested but no runny nose. You just want to be held, and if you had been my first I would hold you all day long but the older brother will not have any of that.
3. Your naps only last 45minutes at the most unless I am holding you.
4.  You are starting to use your hands to reach for things! You love the play mat and rattle.
5. You are also so close to rolling over!
6. I finished your "official" blankie and you love it--especially right by your face.

Tuesday Tidbits

1. In church you handed me the Mother's Day gift from the ward (had chocolates) and you said, "here you go mommy, save my treats for me". You also thought the bracelet you made in nursery is for you.
2. We did a trip to some church sites in Kansas and then went up to St. Louis for 2 days. You weren't the best traveler. After day one in the car you were done watching shows and just whined and complained.
3. We stayed with my friends the Woodbury's and you kept calling them the Raspberries and sometimes would call Sis. Woodbury, Grandma Raspberry.
4. She made you special pancakes (add food coloring and make things) and now you request that for breakfast.
5. You love saying the prayer. I can't even remember the last time that Dad and I got to say the prayer alone.

Dad teaching you how to pee in the woods

1. You were the best traveler on our trip. You slept great and ate awesome.
2. We took you with us to the Cardinals game and you were great and the several fans asked to take you home.
3. Your sleeping at home is not great. We are struggling and I am now experience "newborn mommy zombie" mode.
4. You will not take a bottle--yikes!
5. We put you in the bumbo for the first time and you weren't sold on it. Your neck still has a long way to go to be strong enough and you detest tummy time so bad that I think it might be another month.
