Tuesday Tidbits

1. We got through the week without Dad and only Mom. We struggled really bad one day and that was it. I felt bad about it and wished that we could have started the day over but thankfully, you forgive so easily. The next day was heaven and we didn't butt heads.
2. We went to Chick-fil-la for dinner one day and there were kids playing and you wanted to eat your food later so you could go play with them. You then got all the kids to play hide-go-seek with you. You love friends and it doesn't matter if you have never met them.
3. I bought you some pants for winter and most of them are going to have to be stitched up in the waist. You are still a skinny boy.
4. You have not puked since September 27. You have gone a whole month without puking. I might have just jinxed it but I still think it is a fluke. You were puking every other day since last November.
5. You look forward to go to Pre-School every day. On Monday you didn't have school and you were so bummed. I am grateful you love it so much.

1. We are getting a routine down for naps and I am loving it! I do feel like we never leave the house but at this stage in my life I kinda don't care. Routine is what keeps me sane.
2.  I decided I wanted to start switching you to the bottle so Dad can help sometimes. The first time you chugged down about an ounce. Since then, you will not even drink a drop. We are at a lost.
4. YOU SHAKE YOUR HEAD to " No,no,no"!
All three are the cutest things in the world.
6. I've been catching you sleeping on your tummy. It freaks me out!

Tuesday Tidbits

1. We are having a power struggle lately and I blame it on the lack of Dad in your life and an inconsistent environment. (Gary's working up in Provo and we've been living with family in Utah)
2. However, we agree on one thing lately and that is bedtime. You go to bed willingly and are sleeping past 7am!!
3. In nursery you were taught the "Wise man built his house" song and you actually remember it really well, and with actions!
4. Not only do you talk nonstop but now you are singing nonstop. We were at the grocery store and you were singing (loud) to your hearts content about the latest thing going in your life. I got many stares and looks.
5. The latest thing was that we got "boo"ed for Halloween and we had to "boo" 2 other families. You were really scared about the whole idea but once we did it you loved it. You already want to play pretend "boo".

2. Thankfully and no so thankful that explains the absolute awful sleep digression for the past week and being so needy and grumpy.
3. You can now basically get to anything within eye sight by rolling. (baby proof) The latest thing is that you can lift yourself up from your belly and you can also put your knees under to get your butt up but you can't do both at the same time:) It has been really weird to look at pictures and see what your older brother was doing at your age. It goes to show that you are your ownself.
4. If I stand you up by a couch you can hold on but my hand can't leave your back yet for fear of falling fast. However, sitting up is getting better and better!! I still don't leave you for longer then a second because when you fall it takes awhile to recover.
5.  You got the flu shot and you took it like a champ! Honestly, one little cry and tear and you were done. I was so surprised and so was the nurse! I can't say the same about the 42 hours after though...

Cougar Run

I skipped Tuesday Tidbits this week because of being out of town but this cannot go undocumented.
I signed Austin up to run the Cougar Run with his cousin, Cyrus. I didn't tell Austin until the night of, and he was so excited. I honestly didn't think he would be as excited as he was but he acted like it was Christmas morning. Gary got him all situated at the start line and told him to run towards the finish line. I waited by the end to get pictures and take care of Lennox. The gun went off and about 50 little boys start running in white shirts. The next thing I knew Gary was standing by me asking if I had seen Austin because he lost track of him. WHAT!? I hadn't seen him either and I had been watching. We immediately thought the worst and I started walking back towards the start to see if he had a panic attack. I couldn't find him. Gary couldn't find him. Finally, which seemed like FOREVER, we find Austin as happy as can be with his cousin. He was over the moon about his first race and asked us if we saw him "run so fast". Yes we lied and said we did. He came in 15th place. I still feel awful that I missed his first race. It has now been a few weeks later and he still talks about it and wants to race to anything and everything. He also shows off his "running" shoes to everyone. I think we have many more races in our future.

Tuesday Tidbits

1. We have gone to the children's museum almost everyday. The first room you go to is the grocery store. You could play in there for hours.
2. You have been such a good boy this week. You have been happy, sleeping, and obeying.
3. I had to hide all the conference candy because you think you deserve a treat after every good thing you do.
4. You were good during conference. Every once in awhile you would hear a word you recognized and ask if it was on your Bingo sheet.
5. You have had a bubble bath every day and love turning yourself into Santa Claus.

1. You have been going through some tough times and haven't been my happy boy, I blame the cold and teething.
2. I bought you a baby sippy cup and you just love that thing filled with ice water. I think it feels good on your gums.
3. I fed you chicken vegetable baby food and you DID NOT like it. I don't blame you, it smelled awful.
4. This dry weather isn't helping your eczema and your poor legs broke out in a rash. Now if we set you down it has to be on a blanket.
5. I am not sure what it is but you love to grab my hair right by neck and head butt me. It is cute until you don't let go of my hair/neck.
