Tuesday Tidbits

:Austin:
1. Your birthday came and it was the best day ever! You woke up to special pancakes. You got to take the snack (M&M cookies, your favorite) to pre-school. After school I took you to Chick-fil-la for lunch. We then went to Monkey Joes with all your friends. And then had pizza and ice cream cake at the clubhouse with friends. The day could not have been more magical.
2. You requested and ice cream cake with green ice cream like the kinda Grandma Allen makes. However, the next night I gave you some leftovers and you only ate the ice cream in the middle. When I asked why, you said you didn't like the white stuff on top(whip cream) or the crust (crushed oreos). Silly kid.
3. Your pre-school teacher told me that you are getting so good at writing your name.
4. You are the best at telling me all day long that you love me, I love it.
5. Dad's car died and needed a new battery. Dad took you to go get one and then came home and you stood out in the freezing cold and "helped" him. I kept asking if you were ok and you said "Yes, I am helping Dad". Dad said you were good not to ask a lot of questions, you were concerned when things didn't work, got excited when they did work, and told dad that you "don't like it when you say those words".  Side note: it was below 10 degrees, in the dark, the bolts were rusted, and Gary kept dropping the tools.. hence the bad words and I got on him about that.

I had to document this. You saw Minion underwear and wanted me to buy it and I said no. Well, you broke down and were screaming "I want minion underwear!!!" over and over and everyone around me was smiling. I was laughing from how hysterical you were over it and laughing out of embarrassment.

:Lennox:
1. You are trouble. You eat things you shouldn't eat, get into things you shouldn't, and want to be held when you shouldn't.
2.You are possessive of me! It doesn't matter if you are off doing your own thing, the minute Austin sits on my lap you crawl as fast as you can and start crying and whacking Austin to get off. You do note like to share me. Austin will purposely come sit on me to get you mad.
3. You are teething again. It looks as if you second set of top teeth are almost in, just need to break through the slim layer of gums.
4. Feeding you is becoming a struggle. You will hardly eat any baby food and then I try to give you table food and you will sometimes try it. Recently I noticed you will eat/try more things if I give you the whole thing like, banana, pancake, eggo, and grilled cheese.
5. I am done waking up in the middle of night numerous times. Monday night your Dad and I decided to let you cry it out. Basically the whole night was filled with crying. Hopefully, it becomes less and less. I need you to start sleeping through the night before you turn one!

You threw up in your crib Friday night and right after this picture you did it again.

PJ #3 and you are exhausted and sick.

You woke up happier in the morning.

Tuesday Tidbits

:Austin:
1. You are so excited for your birthday! You tell anyone and everyone how many days until it is your birthday.
2. You have been eating a ton for breakfast which is very unusual for you.
3. I am starting to see better behavior. When we got back from Utah the first week was spent in timeout.
4. You have been wanting to snuggle! And I love it when I can.
5. You can spell and write Mom and Dad.

:Lennox:
1. You throw balls or anything like no body's business.
2. You climb on Austin's toddler bed and bounce and think you are just the greatest for figuring that out!
3. One day I was feeding you strawberries and you were licking them off your tray.
4. You will point at what you want to eat and get. You are easy going but if you have something you want you will let us know.
5. You like to tease us! If we tell you no (which you understand because you kinda say it back and shake your head) you will try to do it again with a big grin on your face. It turns into a little game.
6. You are starting to bonk your head a lot. So now we always say "bonk" and you will lean in and try and "bonk" heads with us.
7. I love this stage because things are clicking more and more but at the same time you want to be just like your big brother and it can be extremely frustrating for you and me.

Tuesday Tidbits

:Austin:
1. The whole time we were in Saint George you had a constant fever and felt crummy. You watched a lot of Micky Mouse and hardly ate.
2. You were devastated you didn't get to go to the City Museum with Grandma but once we told you about the BIG pool with slides that we were going to on Friday, you were sold.
3. On Thursday, when we finally flew home, you were feelings a lot better. So much so that you had no interest in watching TV on the plane and wanted to be entertained.
4. The Great Wolf Lodge was a huge success for you! You loved it! You could have gone down the water slides all day, every day. You already asked to go again next week.
5. Sunday was your first day of being a SUNBEAM! Your teachers said you were good and knew all the answers. You also said the prayer! I asked you how it was and I think you were unsure of it all. You only said, "they singed a lot of songs, and I don't know them", "but we practiced".

:Lennox:
1. When we got to Saint George you did a lot of sleeping and exploring. You were finally feeling better.
2. You cut the front right tooth.
3. While waiting for our flight, Grandpa shared his ice cream with you. An hour later you broke out in hives. We were nervous traveling on the airplane but your hives stayed under control. We weren't able to get you benadryl until that night. You were extremely itchy. We had to give you benadryl twice a day for 3 days before the hives finally disappeared. I hope this is not a sign to come and was just because you aren't ready for milk.
4. You loved the pool at the Lodge. You splashed and dunked your head to your hearts content!
5. I am starting to feed you toddler food and you are handling it ok.
